Detailed itinerary
DAY 1: PICK UP FROM THE HOTEL AND TRANSFER TO KIBALE NATIONAL PARK
Depending on your location on the first day of the 5 days Uganda primate safari , you will be picked by our safari guide who will brief you about the safari and then start your journey to kaibale national park which is located in western Uganda , the journey takes you about 5-6 hours of road drive and have lunch in fort portal town before reaching the booked lodge enjoy the ultimate stunning of the beautiful sceneries and landscapes , tea plantations, Rwenzori mountain and plenty of crater lakes
You will reach the booked lodge near kibale forest national park check in for dinner and overnight
DAY 2: CHIMPANZEE TREKKING EXPERIENCE AND AFTERNOON SWAMP WALK
You will have an early breakfast and then be picked by our guide from your lodge to the park headquarters for briefing about Chimpanzee trekking. You will then be led by a professional ranger /guide into the forest to trek the chimpanzees. With the help of the guide, you will be able to track the chimpanzees from a closer range. This process takes about 2-3 hours. You will then be brought back to your lodge for lunch. In the evening, you will be picked from your lodge for Bigodi swamp walk. Bigodi wetland sanctuary is a very beautiful area found in Magombe swamp which is recognized for inhabiting primates such as the black and white monkeys, baboons and other monkey species. The swamp is also a home for bird species like grand blue turaco. After this amazing walk, you will return to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay
DAY3: TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE FOREST NATIONAL PARK
On these you will have relaxed breakfast, check out of the lodge and met up your driver guide to transfer to bwindi impenetrable national park. On the way you will have en-route lunch and then continue to bwindi with great views and interesting landscapes of kigezi hills, terraced gardens among others. Upon arrival in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park, you will check into the lodge for dinner and overnight
DAY 4: GORILLA TREKKING EXPERIENCE IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK
After early breakfast on the fourth day of the 5 days primate safari, you will carry your packed lunch and meet up your safari guide to transfer to park headquarters for gorilla trekking briefing, after briefing you will start your gorilla trekking journey led by the knowledgeable range guide about the gorillas in bwindi also with conversant with different trails in the park. Gorilla trekking experience takes about 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on where the gorillas are allocated because they move from one place to another in search of food. During the trekking you will be able to see other primates species , different birds species among others and once the mountain gorillas are found, you will spend one hour with them in their natural habitat which gives you opportunity to observe their behaviors , watch them carry out their daily activities like feeding , playing, breastfeeding , grooming young ones, and take photos and capture videos, after one hour with the gentle giants , you will return to the evening relaxation for diner and overnight
DAY 5: TRANSFER BACK TO KAMPALA
After relaxed breakfast you will check out of the lodge and transfer back to Kampala on the way you will have lunch in calm town of Mbarara and then continue with the journey make stopover at the equator in Kayabwe for photo moments and explore souvenir markets. From you will proceed to Kampala or Entebbe town and the guide will drop you at Entebbe international airport or at the hotel of your choice
