14 DAYS UGANDA SAFARI HOLIDAY

SAFARI HIGHLIGHT: The 14 days will take you on your Uganda safari to explore big game viewing, mountain gorilla and chimpanzee trekking, boat cruises along the Uganda’s waters. Uganda surely commands voice in eco-tourism, among the attractions Uganda boasts are primates, abundant games, bird life and scenic beauty. On 14 days safari we shall take you to explore Uganda’s wildlife and also some of the authentic sites like river Nile, during this two weeks, you will get to see big five, track gorillas in Bwindi impenetrable forest national park and chimpanzee expeditions in their natural habitat kibale national park for encounter of life time memories in the wild  but habituated chimps, you will proceed to view games in our  prized Murchison falls national park and queen Elizabeth national park and through the journey you will explore allots of unique geographical features and scenic allure, plus a great deal of diverse cultures.

 

DETAILED ITINERARY

Day 1: arrival day

On your arrival at Entebbe international airport you will be highly welcomed by our safari guide who will be eagerly waiting to pick you upon your arrival and drop you at booked hotel in Kampala/ Entebbe

 

Day 2: pick from place of accommodation and transfer to Murchison fall national park

You will have early morning breakfast and meet your guide who will pick you and transfer you to Murchison falls national park the largest park in Uganda and its takes 4-5 hours’ drive by road and have lunch stop in Masindi town after proceed to the park. On arrival you will be taken to visit the top of falls were river Nile forces its way through the rocky gap of 7meters.

You later check in to the booked lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Full days explore Murchison fall national park

Start your day with warm cup of coffee/tea and meet your safari guide to take for the morning game drive in search of wildlife that are unique in African savannah like solitary cape buffaloes, giraffes, elephants, Uganda kobs, bushbucks, sitatunga, lions, leopards and hyenas alongside wide variety of bird species. You later return to the hotel for full breakfast and relax until lunch.

In the afternoon you will go for the adventure boat cruise on river Nile at the bottom of thundering falls were you are given to view more wildlife like crocodiles, schools of hippos, waterbuck bird’s life like shoebill stork and many more. You will return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 4: transfer to fort portal

You will early morning breakfast and check out of the lodge to transfer to fort portal passing via the Albertine escarpments of the western arm rift valley. Drive through Hoima town of Bunyoro kingdom and the amazing country side of many tea plantations and beautiful homesteads. You will reach in fort portal by afternoon and check in to the booked lodge until dinner and overnight

DAY 5: EXPLORE KIBALE NATIONAL PARK

Today will have early morning breakfast and transfer at the briefing center of kibale national park in Kanyachu, after your briefing from ranger guides they will lead you to the forest for the primate watching. Afternoon you will go for the Bigodi wetland swamp walk or visit community families to have view on their culture

You will later return to the lodge for dinner and overnight

DAY 6:  transfer to Queen Elizabeth national park

You will have relaxed breakfast and check out of the lodge to transfer  to queen Elizabeth national park ,Queen Elizabeth National Park gives a great view to the legendary mountains of the moon thus Rwenzori Mountains with stunning and panoramic sightseeing that are made up of various crater lakes. These lakes are carved dramatically into the green rolling hills.

A visit to the park rewards you with magical sights of the Kazinga Channel, Lake Edward and George plus other crater lakes of the area like Katwe. The Kazinga channel shores are infested with hippopotamuses, elephants and buffaloes. Explore the Savannah plains of Ishasha, whose fig trees obscure tree climbing lions that are ever ready to knock on herds of the famous Ugandan Kob.

Queen Elizabeth national park was established in 1952 and was originally called Kazinga National Park, later after the visit of Queen Elizabeth in 1954, the name changed. Formation of Queen Elizabeth National Park has long ensured the conservation of its ecosystems for decades, which in turn benefits the surrounding communities.

National park activities include wildlife viewing (primary activity) in Kasenyi, Mweya and Ishasha sectors, Chimpanzee trekking in the exhilarating Kyambura Gorge, Kalinzu forest and Maramagambo forest, Hot air ballooning, boat cruise, and local community visits.

Other interesting activities include hiking and nature walks, bird watching, lion tracking, a visit to the explosion crater and a visit to the Katwe salt works.

 

Day7: morning game drive and afternoon boat cruise

warm-up cup of coffee, as you set off for an early morning game drive (about 6.30am), this is an awesome experience to spot the animals in natural habitats. With higher chances of spotting elephants, solitary cape buffaloes, hyenas, lions, leopard, antelopes, warthogs and beautiful birds. This park has spectacular sceneries including Crater Lakes and rolling savannah plains overlooking the snow capped of The Rwenzoris Mountain ranges. There after you return for a full breakfast at the lodge and relax till lunch.

After lunch, take a relaxing boat cruise on Kazinga channel, this is a huge opportunity to spot more animals as they come to cool off down the stream. Queen Elizabeth National Park is the leading birding destination with over 600 bird species including pelicans, kingfishers, hammer corps, woodpeckers, cormorants, goliath heron and the rare shoebill stork; have a good time spotting these birds.  Later you return to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

 

 

DAY 8: TRANSFER TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

You will have relaxed breakfast and check out of the lodge to transfer to Buhoma with interesting views along the way like tea plantations, tea factories in Kayoza and then proceed to Bwindi impenetrable national park checking to the booked hotel for lunch and relax until dinner and overnight.

DAY 9: GORILLA EXPERIENCE IN BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

You will have early morning game drive and then meet your drive to transfer you to the park headquarters for briefing by Uganda wildlife rangers guides, immediately your gorilla trek will start which takes about 2-8 hours in the forest looking for the gentle apes, upon meeting them you will be allowed to be with them for 1 hour and return to the lodge for the rest of the day until dinner and overnight

 

DAY 10 : TRANSFER TO LAKE MBURO NATIONAL PARK

Today you will relaxed breakfast and check out of the lodge to transfer to Lake Mburo national park with amazing sceneries of rolling hills and slopes ok Kigezi region and then to calm town of Mbarara were you will have lunch stop and after continue to the booked lodge for  the rest of the day

DAY 12:  transfer to jinja

You will have relaxed breakfast and check out of the lodge to transfer to jinja with en-route game viewing as you’re getting out of the park and also another stop at Uganda equator line for photo moments and explore souvenir markets. You will reach jinja by lunch time and relax at the lodge looking over the longest river nile or optional boat cruise at the source of river nile

You will return to kampala/Entebbe in the evening

 

Day 13: Explore Jinja with morning what rafting and boat cruise source of Nile
On the shores of the River Nile and huge Lake Victoria, Jinja is Uganda’s fourth largest town, having once been the capital city. Its tropical atmosphere and lush vegetation are big attractions, but the main highlight is undisputedly the River Nile. Thought to be the home of the source of the Nile, the world’s largest river spanning Egypt Sudan and Uganda, it holds major spiritual significance for the local people and offers some thrilling grade 5 rapids for us visitors.

Jinja is a compact, low rise town with little historical interest, apart from some interesting Asian architecture from the colonial period. It suffered at the hands of Idi Amin’s government, having once been the industrial heartland, but you can still head out to the leafy suburbs to experience a taste of it in its prime.

Day 14: KAMPALA CITY TOUR / ENTEBBE TOUR VISIT ENTEBBE ZOO

You will wake up in the morning with served breakfast and meet your guide to drive for the Kampala city tour. This will enable you to explore more of the interesting cultural and historical sites in the city like the Uganda museums, Kasubi tombs, Buganda kingdom, namugongo martyrs shrine, kabaka’s lake among others OR optional tour to Entebbe zoo and Entebbe craft shops as you wait for the departure flight ticket
