Day 1: PICK UP FROM ENTEBBE INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT

You will be picked by our guide who will transfer you to Airport Guesthouse Entebbe for a night and he will brief you about the tour.

Day 2: DRIVE TO MURCHSION FALLS NATIONAL PARK

 

Early in the morning after breakfast we shall embark on our journey to Murchison falls national park and we shall have a stopover at Mabamba wetland sanctuary for birding excursion in search for the great shoe-bill stork.

 

Later have lunch at Mabamba Lodge and drive to check in at Paraa Safari Lodge for relaxation and overnight rest.

Day 3: GAME DRIVE AND NILE LAUCH TRIP MURCHISON FALLS.

In the morning after breakfast, we will go for a game drive on the Northern bank of the Nile with chances of observing animals like Giraffes, lions, Jackson’s hartebeests, Partas Monkeys, Oribis, Uganda Kob and a number of different bird species. Later in the afternoon have lunch then proceed for a Nile launch cruise while observing aquatic species like hippos, elephants, Nile crocodiles and water bucks.

Return to the lodge in time for dinner and overnight rest as we see the sun retire.

Day 4: MURCHISON FALLS (VIEW OF THE FALLS)

After breakfast we will have a boat cruise to the top of the falls to have their magnificent scenic view and later alone in the afternoon after lunch we will have a guided nature walk in the park.

Day 5: DRIVE TO QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK

Early Morning after breakfast, drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park with scenic views of tea plantations, pockets of forest land and vast crater lakes.

Arrive at Elephant Plains Lodge for lunch with a view on the terrace and settle in. After lunch in the afternoon we shall have a launch trip along Kazinga channel while observing a number of different animals and water birds like hippos, crocodiles and birds like African jacana, Saddle-billed stork & Pelicans.

Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 6: QUEEN ELIZABETH NATIONAL PARK (GAME DRIVE)

In the morning after breakfast, you will be taken in the southern section part of Queen Elizabeth National Park for a telemetry game drive in Ishasha sector were you will be in position to track and see the famous climbing lions face to face and have stories for a life time while with researchers as you discuss human-wildlife conflicts in communities around the park.

Later in the afternoon have lunch at the lodge before tracking chimpanzee in Kyambura gorge

Day 7: DRIVE TO BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONAL PARK

Early Morning after breakfast, Check out and drive further to South Bwindi Impenetrable National Park the home of endangered mountain gorillas. 

Upon arrival check in at Mahogany Springs Lodge and have lunch with on a terrace with views into the forest and later upon resting enjoy a community village walk.

Day 8: BWINDI IMPENETRABLE NATIONBAL PARK (GORILLA TRACKING)

Arise early morning today for breakfast and prepare for an amazing adventure and unforgettable encounter with the giants in the green lashed canopies face to face.

During the tracking, expect to walk long distances after being divided into groups of 8 then be pre-tracking briefed by your guide and later go for the tracking for 2 to 8 hrs. while spending an hour with the mighty giants.

You will be able also to sight a number of forest birds as you enjoy the breathtaking wildlife experience on earth. Finally after the tracking, you will find our tourist guide waiting to transfer you back to the lodge. 

Later in the afternoon you will visit the famous pygmy Batwa tribe community and experience their culture.

Day 9: BATWA PYGMIES OF BUNIGA

Early Morning after breakfast, visit the famous pygmy Batwa tribe community and experience their culture and historical nomadic cultures for a day.

Day 10: DRIVE TO RWANDA THROUGH ENTEBBE AIRPORT

From Bwindi Impenetrable National Park we enroll for over 200km through Kabale-Kisoro Road and Kisoro-Cyanika Road to RN8 in Northern Province, Rwanda for 5 hours to Kigali International Airport (RN 5 Rd).

Upon arrival, welcome to the Land of the Thousand Hills! Arrival at Kigali Airport where you will be welcomed and transferred to your hotel for lunch.

Day 11: TRAVEL TO NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast we transfer towards the southern part of the country. En route we will make a stop to visit the Royal Palace Museum in Nyanza, the Rwanda National Museum in Butare, which houses one of the finest collections in East Africa and we will have lunch at a local restaurant.

In the afternoon we continue to the mysterious rain forest of Nyungwe, a true birders paradise and renowned for its many species of primates.

Day 12: PRIMATE NATURE WALK AROUND THE COMMUNITY(NYUNGWE FOREST NATIONAL PARK)

A full day to enjoy the magical surroundings of Nyungwe Forest National Park! In the morning we will go for an exciting primate walk in search of the habituation chimpanzees. Afternoon at leisure or if you’re looking for some more adventure, why not join an optional forest walk or canopy tour?!

Day 13: TRAVEL TO LAKE KIVU

From Nyungwe Forest we continue to Lake Kivu for some relaxation. It is the largest lake in Rwanda and beautifully located amid mountains and green hills. Enjoy lunch in the romantic town of Kibuye, before checking in at your accommodation at L.kivu.

Day 14: LAKE KIVU TO VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

In the morning you have the opportunity to visit the nearby Hot Springs of Bralirwa or go for a boat ride on the lake, while exploring the small islands and rich birdlife as we do fish spotting.

 After lunch we will have a short drive to one of the most beautiful national parks of the country: Volcanoes National Park.

Day 15: VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK

Today you will have the opportunity to spend some time with the endangered mountain gorillas. You will make a beautiful hike through the green landscape and hills of the Virunga Volcanoes. Spend a magical hour with these amazing creatures while your guide will explain more about the family and their behavior.

In the afternoon we will visit the village Iby’Iwacu, located in the shadows of the Virunga Volcanoes, where reformed poachers showcase the traditional Rwandan way of life.

Day 16: VOLCANOES NATIONAL PARK-KIGALI

Have a relaxed breakfast and enjoy the beautiful scenery one more time as we calmly transfer back to Kigali with (packed) lunch. 

Full evening in the vibrant capital city of Kigali, where you can enjoy a guided city tour and visit some interesting, historical sites. 

Learn more about Rwanda’s heart-rending history at the Genocide Memorial Centre and visit the Nyamata Church. You will also have the opportunity to stroll at the colorful markets or buy traditional African handworks at the Craft Village.

DAY 17: AIRPORT DROP OFF: 120km/2-3hrs drive.
